Realizing the fact that I have like 12 girls and only one guy on FA, so trying to remedy that. These are jsut ideas. Lemme know what you think!
(From left to right)
1. A Flareon anthro. He's pretty suave, a bit of a poet and what not. Problem is, he's a bit paranoid of his masculinity, considering most famous Flareons are female.
2. A 13 ft. tall bear. Due to a freak accident, (ambiguious, yes I know) his form expanded almost 4 times his normal size. He spends his days helping out in local towns in the mountains, a bit of a local "living legend" kinda like the jolly green giant. Despite being a town attraction, he does live a bit of a lonely life though...
3. A business plotting Raccoon, who ironically enough, can't keep his grabby little hands at bay. He's always plotting how to own other businesses, expanding his conglomerates.
4. Vigilante cyber Dragon sniper. A bit easy going, living for the thrill. Somewhat immature though, and despite calling himself "Swagasaurus," he kind of has an obscure sense of humor that no one gets...
5. A wandering Clydesdale from the plains of Scotland, on search for something he calls "Fulfillment." No one really knows exactly what he's looking for though. He's jsut a mystery...

So yeah, just some ideas. Tell me what'cha think!

This is just my opinion
Overall, the males are well drawn seeing as I hardly see them from you XD Though I think you should try and give them more anatomy. It seems like you cover up most of their bodies with either clothing, fur, markings etc so, to me, just doesn't feel like there's much to the male body. Out of all of them, I'd have to say either 5 or 2 have the most anatomy to them. For the rest of them, the clothing and fur cover up a majority of their bodies so it's hard to give feedback on them I think. Hope that helps mate

Yup. Though I think for #5 you could have gotten more "anatomy" in there because it looks like you have him standing in the wind so you could have had the cloak flowing out a little more so you can see more of the body. idk it just seems like you are avoiding the male anatomy a bit.
Out of the 5 you have here I am liking 4 and 5 for their appearances though a bit more back story might be done. I like 3 for the sheer resemblance that you managed to do the attitude of the robber baron J.P. Morgan as a raccoon story wise which really makes a lot of sense. 2 is alright in both appearance and I tend to be fond of those types of 'accidents' here but not fond of bears too much. As for 1 it is unique in that most male fire pokemon seem to be either charizards or rapidashes and most females of the sort tend to be flareons, vulpixes, ninetails and blazikens so he might be worth watching as well.
I warn you before you read, you're in for a long, drawn out explaination of how I view the characters you have sketched. These ideas are all opinion based, so feel free to ignore them if they do not strike your fancy. Some of my opinions will go on for a long while so please bare with it. I'm a very long-winded individual. XD
I like number 3 and the most. 3 looks like he's a nice plotting guy, and possibly a sort of... catalyst for toughset. I see him as being a villain. he has this evil plan, and will do whatever it takes to win. or rather, will take whoever is needed for him to win. I could see him always being on the verge of capture, but just as he's nearly caught, he has a backup plan. giving toughset the option between cuffing him for life, and putting a stop to his kidnapping and schemes once and for all at the cost of one girl's life, or save the girl, allowing him ample time to escape. sort of a catch 22. let me go and save the girl, or catch me, but the girl goes bye bye. I'm sure I know what tough would go for. as for 5, he looks a lot like a mentor character. he sort of comes in and out of nowhere as a sort of mentor figure, but at the same time no one can really tell his deal. he shows up at certain times, and kicks some serious ass, but only when it's needed, as he's a very calm character by nature. He would rather meditate by a spring or hike along the Scottish peaks, rather than put up with toughset's Shoot shotguns first, ask questions later, and save the babes! perhaps the stallion has a special long lost love of his own, or maybe something a bit more tragic if you want him to have serious talks with the main character about how they can't all be saved, and one day he may find it out the hard way. "Trust me... I know" *pulls out a locket or Celtic ruin bracelet to stare somberly at*
As for the others, they look nice, but they don't strike me as fully developed yet. I could see the burly guy in 2 to be sort of a Jet Black (from cowboy bebop) archetype. number 4 seems like the sort of hyper active type. he views it as a game, maybe even using gamer lingo from time to time. though I really hate the use of swag simply because what swag has become just annoys me to no end. I do like your idea of having him had a crude sense of humour though. As for Flareon... Eeeeeeeyeeeeeah... I dunno. he just seems a bit too generic to me. sort of like you were going for the dark, brooding type, which in my opinion is a bit overused. Though I just used about 20 cliches in the last 2 paragraphs, so who am I to talk.
I really don't know if this was sort of what you were thinking, or if you were even planning on tying them back into the whole lore of your characters, but... it's a bit of what I was thinking. Again completely opinion based, and feel free to completely throw it out the window if you think it best.

To be honest, none of these ideas are final. I'm just well aware that I have about 12 different female characters and only about 5 male characters. Trying to even it a bit. None of these character designs are final, let alone gonna be used in the first place. The exposition was to give an idea of where I was going with the idea.
Never thought about the raccoon being a bit of a nemesis really! He DOES kind of need one though. I'll have to think that over.
And yeah, to be honest with the horse, I was kind of expecting him to be the brooding type, mixed with a bit of mysterios logic and understanding. The mentor idea though could work! The sniper could actually have a good character foil if he's more gamer-oriented. I don't know why I didn't think of that! And yeah, the Flareon wasn't meant to be a brooding type. More like pathetically misunderstood. He just wants to be himself, but is embarassed about being mistaken for a woman.

Glad I could help, or at least put in my 2 cents worth. it's nice to talk with fellow artists, and/or friends if you consider us to be, about characters, and giving them personalities. I find that I work a lot better when I have someone to bounce ideas off of, as well as have someone who listens to my ideas. I can't wait to see what you come up with. :)
These are some great concepts! Though you have sooo many characters Tough... no idea how you keep track of them all haha.
I'm diggin' the raccoon tycoon the most, but he better not come near Orion's Táron Industries or he's getting more than a corporate battle *shakesfist*
And of course, military getups <3
...w...wait a minute..... the corner.... T-TOUGHSET WHAT IS THAT

Every character fulfills some purpose or role. It's like they're a puzzle piece in a grand scheme of things; the picture isn't complete without them! And yeah, I'm getting a lot of hype with the Raccoon guy. Then again, I could use more antagonists! Heh, and I wonder where the preference from 4 came from? Couldn't be "HALO 4" could it?
And don't worry about it. Last night was weird for everyone.

I like to hold the theory that every character someone creates has a part of themselves in it, like an aspect of your own personality, an opinion or likes and dislikes in there. With as many characters as you have, to me that would almost be like having 20 aspects of yourself plucked out! Pretty awesome though you can be that creative, and hey, if you still want male ideas, I could have a suggestion for you next time you're on skype if you're interested.
I love Halo 4, but so many games have the same kind of 'powersuit and future' weapons thing that it could be from any one of them. I'm actually more a fan of steampunkish/rough armour like that in Bulletstorm.
It was very weird. We need more of them.

1. Looks underdeveloped. His looks doesn't transmit much of his personality, and doesn't look distinguishable from other flareons.
2. HULK SMASH!
3. He looks spot on. By looking at him, you can guess most of his personality
4. Overdone. Nothing in him really sets him apart from the other anthro futuristic soldiers. If he's a vigilante, going for a more superhero/antihero-like outfit could make him much more distinguishable.
5. Horse with split hooves?

The first looks handsome and cute and, well, very nice. I like him a lot, and I like his backstory. The second one looks arlight, but his fingers look a little awkward as his fingers aren't as well defined as his nails, which really only the serious problem with him. The third looks very expressive, I like his sort of very obvious manipulative attitude, though I'm a tad surprised at the choice of what looks like a bowtie over a traditional tie. The dragon isn't really clearly defined enough for me to have any opinion on him, mostly because he's just, well, he's active but I'm not sure, He just doesn't interest me as much as the others. The horse, well, he looks like you wanted to make him bigger than he came out, because he looks a bit thin as opposed to looking muscled but distracted.
And now I want to get a male character from you, because these guys are all quite impressive.

I think that actually all ideas of this picture can work, since female characters get fucking damn too much attention while male characters getting left behind entirely. Instead of just focusing on female fan/original characters put in more male, those guys you've presented so far may be still in progress, but I think all of them deserve to be 'in use'. All of them are looking very creative and have their own flair as an character, so it would just be fair to give all of them a chance to get 'a life' in the world of fan/original characters.
