One of the reasons I created Metamorphanimania was for animated transformation sequences.
I plan to animate transformations, posting each shot in turn for feedback and a little encouragement (nothing gets me exited about finishing an anim quite like peoples comments).
When all the shots are done I'll edit them together into a finished anim and move the individual shots to the scraps folder.
So, here's the first anim, using a cartoony kind of style. Mr TF guy here looks very aprehensive of events. He needs to relax: Random Meerkat transformations happen all the time, Why worry? =OP

Sweet! I'm the cause of this awesome animation!
For those that are wondering this:

is the picture we are talking about.
But seriously dude, you have skills... I have to ask, what did you use for the animation, and how can I get it?

Your animations are amazing, and posting each part for comments is actually a very good idea. I might start doing that to get myself into animating things. Great idea.
This shot is particularly nice, though. Very smooth. Only, I wonder what he's saying at the beginning.
Good job :)

Homina homina, that's INCREDIBLE!!!
Guy's torso stretching out in pt 2 is wonderful, as are his reactions as he changes. Making him look cartoony instead of realistic is a brilliant choice - a lot of CGI students make the mistake of trying to create 'natural' looking people.) You're obviously pretty far along in your studies. Can I ask where you're studying animation? (They're doing a good job teaching u)
Can't wait for pt 3!

I wish i could learn to model as well as that, Have kinda always wanted to go into games design, but learnding blender on my own is a job and a half. I'm starting to box model fairly confidently, but i wont be this goood for a loooong time (i was thinking of doing a creative digital media course at college, but i wanna study psychology too(
Ive been doing this for getting on 10 years. The trick to learning is that every stage along the way should be fun, or, at least, satisfying. If you have to force yourself to learn modeling and animation, theres something wrong.
Blender can get great results, but it's a brick wall to learn, so don't worry if your finding it tough. Take your time and do what you can to get something from the experience.
Keep in mind that practically all of that model started life as block modeling. Was simply a matter of adding a few more edges to round things out, then applying mesh smooth. You might be nearer to a breakthrough than you think. =O)

Thanks. I think my main problem with blender is the fact that they seem to have gone out of thier way to make it very unintuitive. even the tutorials i'm working from seem to be fragmented and hard to read. I remember using 3ds max trial versions and getting straight into it. The tutorials made easier reading at least and the interface seemed to have been designed around the idea that ametures might want to use it.
