How did you do the shading thing you did?

well, i did a sort of "reverse cell-shading" thing.
I did what i usually did, i made a base coat and put it on multiply. Because exterios charector is so red and rainbowy, i made the base coat a dark, somewhat neutral purple.
Then i started to "reverse shade" the charector by taking a much lighter shade of purple and highlighting the areas that need highlighting.
I did all of the shading with paint tool sais' fabulous marker tool ^.-.^

This method creates such a nice soft, painterly effect, im so glad i tried something different this time around ^.=.^
