I actually like their passive sounds, they sound cute, and I just recently found out that the passive sounds are actually someone saying "Hi." and "What's up." Backwards and distorted, so it's all the cuter to me. The ground is still a lovely sight when they're around though XD
Oh fuuuuu-
I hate endermen. It's like "Dont mind me...wandering around...wait whats tha- OH HEY LOOKIT THE FLOOR! IT'S SO INTERESTING. TOTALLY LOVE STARING AT THE FLOOR AND NOT THE ENDERMAN THAT WAS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER."
And then when I finally do start getting more able to handle them...the lil buggers keep moving the dirt around my house and messing with my lawn! D:<

I particularly hate it when you're outside and it's raining and you have rain sounds off so it's peaceful and quiet and then an Enderman decides to wander out and gets hit so he starts TELEPORTING EVERYWHERE AND HIS TELEPORT SOUNDS PLAYS LIKE A MILLION TIMES SUPER LOUDLY AND IT MAKES YOU SCREAM
This was me the other day.
I was playing a world on
steelyphil's computer, and these Endermen kept spawning above ground on like, the third day of play and terrorizing my tiny little base. Then I dug beneath that into this massive chasm, and they were right there and I was actively flipping out.
They are adorable but scary.

Aaah let's see! I use layers kinda weirdly for painting, and use them mostly for blending modes rather than for maintaining discrete ordering of, say, lineart, flat colors, shading, etc (which IS what I do for my usual pics).
I've got 6 not including adjustment layers. From bottom to top it's the sketch (which looked sorta like this sans the sparkles), then a hue layer to adjust mery's colors, then a layer just for the ender sparkles, then a layer where I paint directly on top of everything below to refine it (this layer + the sketch layer are the meat and potatoes of the pic, most of the rest is just effects and such), then a dodge layer for the glow, then an overlay layer for a subtle gradient. I had 4 adjustment layers (levels, brightness/contrast, selective color, and color blanace) which was just me playing with various settings to get a look I liked. This is the way I paint, but when I do a pic with lineart and such my method for layering is totally different! ;o;
Hope this made some sense! XD;;

It totally did which is surprising considering my lack of experience. xD I always love your colors. How you manage to blend them so well and all. You could probably tell from my style but I have a pretty ameteurish approach to coloring! xD (ANY HELP I CAN GET! D: ) Thanks again! <3 Big help!
Took me a week to notice that you had responded, I am the dumbest butt. I'm also glad you liked it, there are a few really fancy minecraft animations on youtube. Have you seen these?

My reaction is a little different...
*hears Enderman, switches to sword and attacks!* GIVE ME YOUR PEARL YOU TELEPORTING BITCH!!
I play with a lot of mods, practically every one of which requires Ender Pearls for one thing or another. So every time I see an Enderman it makes me squee a bit.

Omg I remember when I first started playing Minecraft. I remember watching tutorials and there was a mentioning about not looking at the Enderman's eyes. I was building my first house and I needed sand to make some glass windows. I knew I could hear the teleporting noises and I was being super cautious while digging up sand.
For a couple seconds it teleported right next to me. I was so freaked out I couldn't move. It teleported away pretty quickly though. I forgot they're a neutral mob.
But omg...my heart nearly stopped when that happened. DX
And yet I'm making a comic that'll have plenty of Endermen. Ones with noodle limbs. X3 Cuz they look cuter that way.

this is cool, reminds me of this one incident
i was building a modern town in survival mode to see how i sould do
at the 4th night i think i was in one of my residential towers and i ploped a torch in the penthouse, and there he was.
we stared at eachother for about a minute
then i took the torch down and darted down the staircase

Nope, I'm not either, usually if you rush them with a Fire Aspect sword, they tend to leave you alone, and if they do come back, they've already taken quite a bit of damage. Damn bastards keep stealing parts of my builds, but they give me free ender pearls which is awesome for dealing with other mobs, or getting out of a sticky situation. Such nice guys :3.
creative vanilla: Looking at them doesn't PO them.
Creative: tekkit Modpack from tekkit modloader: Sometimes if they get damaged or you look at them they get PO'd, random and buggy.
Creative: Hexxit modpack from tekkit modloader: Like the previous mention except more buggy as they have higher hostility chance and can predict when bullets will be about to hit them.

There's a guy called Antvenom who makes Youtube videos about Minecraft, and he taught me a good way of fighting them: build a little "roof" above yourself that just leaves a 2-block gap above the ground. You can still hit them, but they can't reach you because they're too tall.
