The third in my set. I'm happy I got him done, since he's so full of curves and such. Gets annoying making the lineart. He's sort of a water dragon/sea serpent, so I just put him down for dragon. Aquaris controls water, even the water in the atmosphere, which he can use to fly.

They're for my story 'Serenity', which I've been developing. There's no chapters or anything major yet, but I've been doing art of some of the main characters. Aquaris is 3rd that I've made. So far I've done what could be considered the major bosses of my story. To make a long story short, Aquaris is a deity for a tribe of fish people that protects them. The other two are a goddess named Celestia that watches over a magical civilization, and a robotic dragon that survived a war in the prologue. The three of them end up fighting once again. I've already uploaded the first two if you're interested in them, and I have yet to upload the heroine (who is a human so idk if she'll be accepted here) and her two companions.
I wish I was more ahead in my story. I thought about what medium it could be in, and my plot has been considered good video game material. I've considered going into game design to bring that to life in that manner. If I'm to do a comic version, I need a lot of practice before I start comics. Panel and speech bubble positions and whatnot. I'm not so good at making comics, sadly. Single, still pics like Aquaris, yes. That's my comfort zone. I need to get out of that xD
If you just mess around with it you might turn out something awesome. Some of the best comics are ones made by people who don't know the standard way to make a comic when they start out. It definitely sounds like it could be a video game too though. You could make a comc now and a video game later. Or maybe use a 2d video game maker like (RPGMaker) to make it? It's only for making 2D games (think old school, NES, Legend of Zelda, Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, etc.). A lot of people who want to make games always want to start out in 3D, but 2D games can be amazing too. In fact, some of my all time favorite games are!
I thought about using RPG Maker to do that. I haven't uploaded my pixel work here yet, but you can see a few of my examples here: http://typhloser.deviantart.com/gallery/34470484 I've heavily considered giving RPG Maker a go. I'd still have to work on animations for sprites, as well as environments unless those are already provided in RPG Maker...
Those look awesome! I think you should use RPG Maker since you have experience with pixel art. I don't know if RPG maker comes with animations. However, there are tons of websites that provide these for free, as well as sprites, textures, static objects, etc... For example:

http://www.widgetworx.com/widgetwor.....spritelib.html
I know there are lots more, those are just a couple. I've wanted to make a game before, but I always get frustrated when it comes to programming. Maybe one day though...
