tzologeist Hope you like this as much as I enjoyed making it! This is unique in that I decided a film noir look to this, than full color. But I did make this in color, so I will upload that to my scraps so I'm not spamming inboxes with repeat submissions.
You should totally go check out the full color version here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9273551/
Edmund Sprakel voices his displeasure over John Sprakel's really horrible and ridiculous idea. I find these characters really fascinating, and it's always awesome when characters really speak to your creative side. Next time I want to draw Steve Sprakel hugging a unicorn or something.

It's not a bad thing in and of itself, but peace lilies are often given to people in times of death. This character may be planning on delivering these flowers to someone he's going to kill or maybe even to the widow of someone he's already killed. Anyway, I just wanted to show a link to death with this one, though I'll leave it up to the viewer to fill in the blanks.
based on experience, I don't think one can simply do something in color and expect the contrast to look this good by just clicking set to grayscale? How did you "make sure" it would work if I may ask? I know a number of artists who sometimes work on grayscale first before coloring, and as a result, the main subject is well established by contrast.
Durring the coloring process, I just kept converting the file to greyscale to see how it was turning out that way. Then I would undo and go back to the color mode I was working in. It was a rather backwards way of doing things, but it worked for me. It was probably more of a happy accident in that sense.
