Went and did a ref sheet of my DMFA fancharacter, Eli! A rather geeky Cubi!
Once upon a time there was a Succubus and a Being both in the field of science. The Being asked the Succubus if he could possibly write a research paper about her on Cubi Anatomy and abilities. Woo'd by that horribly nerdy pickup line, they ended up getting married, and years later Eli was born!
Having a Being father, Eli and his older sister grew up with a positive outlook on Beings in general, where they grew up safe and happy. Sadly in his teens, Eli's father grew very ill and passed away despite the best efforts of healers and doctors. Eli took this tragedy to heart and vowed to spend the rest of his life developing medicines in order to help people like his father.
After spending the required time at SAIA, Eli went on to several different colleges, spending hundreds of years accumulating experience and degrees in general medicine and advanced chemistry. He managed to find a rather nice pharmaceutical company that regularly employs creatures (as long as them and the beings agree to no shenanigans during work hours!) where he is currently employed. There he can live out his dream by researching medicine AND get the emotions he needs to 'eat' in order to stay healthy.
Eli in general is a very intelligent man that wants to make the world a better place for everyone. He has his short comings due to his phobias and general inability to defend himself (unless you count running away) means he must be careful. But he's got good friends and a good head on him, so he's managed to stay ahead of the game. Luckily his clan has a rep of being such huge nerds that adventurers rarely consider him a threat, so he's thankfully left alone to pursue his work.
Clan info will be coming soon. But in a nutshell he's part of a leaderless clan (who's leader met an unfortunate end with a mini black hole) that specializes in SCIENCE and are a bunch of incredibly weird looking slug hybrids.
