Wuhu!^^
Finally managed the first cat figurine I am satisfied with (I also want to thank  Indigo_NightFire for the input (made the muzzle shorter and increased the bridge of the nose; looks a lot more catlike now :))
Getting the cat to hold the fox in one outstretched hand was particularly difficult, but I somehow managed to balance the fox on one piece of wire and now both figurines are supporting each other :D
One more thing that felt really strange: to keep the string of sausages together I used an actual hair of mine :O (usually I hate it when anything hair-like (especially textile fibres) get mixed into the clay; it changes the consistency throughout the clay...)
Finally, again, I digitally removed the wire.
