I found this picture after digging through... a crapload of sketchbooks, inked it, and will be coloring it when I have the time after finals. But, just to show that I'm not artistically dead, here it is.

Thanks! I can honestly say that life drawing classes have exponentially improved my art.

Life drawing classes? Jealousy. Yes, those will DEFINITELY improve your art, and the proof is obviously in the pudding here..

I don't have any more of the classes slated in my schedule until graduation, but I still sit in on some of them, to hone, you know?

You can take classes at community colleges, provided you're over 18, and it's relatively cheap, and I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.

It's the little things that make the big differences. And they certainly do that here! And how long were/are you doing the life drawing classes for? Might consider looking up something similar this side of the pond...

I took a quick 3 week one in a community college, but I've taken 3 11-week long ones for my degree. However, I do still sit in on other classes (4 hours each) to just get some more gesture drawings.

Media Arts and Animation. Kind of a mish-mash of sorts. Some graphic design, some 2D animation, some 3D animation, some typography, some sculpture. Trying to get you ready to go into really, any field.

I'm actually 2 years into a 3 year degree. I've just got a few gen eds left, and a few 3D classes left.

The rest on that list, I've done.

Would so love to have the patience to learn 3D stuff... but then, should really get round to learning 2D stuff first!

To be honest... I hate 3D. I love 2D, but when it comes to 3D, I become a dumb monkey fighting with the computer to do what I have no trouble doing on paper.

Well, I think it's just me. There are people in my program who cannot draw to save their lives, but put them in front of a computer and tell them to animate something, and they become a member of Pixar or something.

I'm lucky if I can make a character move right.

Make sure you kick 'em right back, I'll be taking mine next week. Thanks for clarifying the word "skivvies" I've never seen it spelled but I heard it in a cartoon back then and I thought they said skibbies so I went aound say it that way. Well I sure learned something today.
