it might have to do with lots of people in the homestuck and mlp fandoms hating the other fandom (like homestuck fans who hate mlp fans and vice versa) u___u

that's dumb! i personally like the way you draw ponies... i've seen plenty of people imitate the FIM style exactly, but not as many people use their own style when drawing...
