Actually if you want you can bypass FA's resize by submitting an image and then clicking "Change submission file" and reuploading the full size image without the forced resize.

Many also add "Hit F5 for full size" to the bottom of their artist comment too so those who get to the image before the full size might catch that they can see a lager copy.
