Give these marvelously moist apple cakes a go from the kitchens of
sanssouci
Those came out very soft, thanks to the grated apple in it.
-1 small vase of white yogurt (125 ml/4 oz I think)
the same vase, with no yogurt, will be used as a measurement recipient
-1 vase of cane sugar
-2 vases of 00 flour
-2 eggs
-30 grams/1.5 oz of butter
-1/2 blister of baking powder
-vanilla/vanillin scent
-1 big apple (sweet apples are better, like yellow or red ones)
Basically, you beat the eggs with the melted butter, the sugar and the yogurt, then add the dry ingredients and the apple, grated, in the end. Keep a couple of slices and cut it in cubes, putting them in the middle of the dough when you pour it in the stamps. Cook at sweet fire (180 C/356 F) for 25/30 minutes. Cover with a frosting made mixing soft cheese (we usually make it with Kraft's Philadelphia, but I dunno if you have it in other countries), powdered sugar and cinnamon powder, adjusting the sweetnes while you mix it.
Decorate with frilly things, and eat!
Please consult Sanssouci to get a translation of what is meant by a 'vase' in terms of measurement.
Allergy warning – recipe contains dairy & egg products
