ANOTHER Lilchu sketch (seriously, this is what… eight now? o_0), this time featuring my buddy Dan, who it seems always has my back… ;) I noticed that I as of yet have no pics with Jay and Dan together, and decided to rectify it. Anyway, I'm glad you liked it, bro. *hugs*
As a note to Lilchu, this is absolutely perfect. I love the pose, and I don't think Jay's looked this badass for a very long time. And I'm sorry I came up with something so complex, Chu. :< *hugs* I promise, next time it'll be simpler. Like two characters hugging.

A bit of nerdish lore from one of my favorite fantasy settings, Negima!
In the pactio system, a mage forges a contract with a fighter. This fighter (referred to as a Minister Magi) is granted enhanced physical powers and a unique weapon or tool, in exchange for protecting the mage (referred to as a Magister Magi) while he/she casts his/her time-consuming spells. Combat mages can develop into two types, the long-range support type that launches attacks from afar and supports his/her Minister/Ministra, or the close-range combat type that directly fights on the front lines with fast-action spells.
In this partnership, I imagine that Dan has gained a magical shield capable of blocking most attacks, while Jay is slowly developing into a combat mage. ;)
