One of the newest teams in the Academy this year is Team Fuego, a company-backed squad sponsored by Fuego Ironworks. Not surprisingly, everyone on the team is a son or daughter of a Fuego worker or staff member.
The youngest of the team is Caleb Jeremiah Stoudemire, youngest son of the 3rd shift foreman. While his two older brothers were content to make their careers at the ironworks like their dad, C.J. decided that he wanted to make a name for himself elsewhere and took full advantage of the company's scholarship offer. Of course, he hasn't told the old 'mon about his plans just yet.
Despite his blue-collar roots and his bad habit of puffing out a cloud of coal smoke at inopportune times ( "Aw shoot! 'Scuse me, Miss Mew!" ), C.J. is actually a pretty sharp young Torkoal with plenty of potential both in and out of the arena. He's never afraid to do some hard work if need be, and can manage to keep his sense of humor no matter what. And while his battle skill is lacking in refinement, he more than makes up for it with a rowdy attitude and sheer enthusiasm. Just remember to stand very far away if you ever hear him say "Hey! Y'all watch this!"
(And no, I don't know how he puts his clothes on underneath his shell. He eats chunks of coal and carries a furnace around on his back for crying out loud, we threw logic out the window right from the start. :P )

Somehow I knew you'd like those. :) They have specially treated lenses so he can see through thick smoke or dust... invaluable when he uses Smokescreen, eh?
And as far as the smoke goes, he learned pretty quickly that he has to keep his emissions to a minimum indoors, especially if he wanted to make friends at the academy. Of course sometimes he gets a bit too excited, or sneezes, or just plain forgets for a minute... and then "Aw shoot! 'Scuse me!"
