I've been meaning to get a picture of this elf up for a while, but my previous attempts were... less than satisfactory. The first was a bit too human-looking, and, also, it was sort of from the back, so all the hair beads she wears were visible, and I just can't bring myself to work on shading them. The second try was a bit too cartoonish looking. Also her head turned out to be enormous. This one works out for me, though I admit her eyes might be a bit on the large side. Apart from that it works well, so here she is. Enjoy.
*EDIT* I added in some more secondary lighting and shadded her bangles and whatnot, as they hadn't really had much done to them before. Hopefully I didn't overdo the secondary lighting.

Hmmmm, I think you were on the right track with the blue highlights under the breasts but the only thing making this feel synthetic is that you don't have any of the Diffused, secondary lighting in the scene apparent on any other part of the body. Mix in some body highlights with some of the ambient color and it will look much better!
It's also on her face and such, I'll point out. But, yes, it could stand to have a bit of extra color in here and there on the rest of the body. I'll probably go back and fiddle with this picture a bit later to adress that sort of issue. It's always good to let a picture sit for a day or so and then look at it with a fresh eye.
