Mehzal wasn't sure how Kyrah was taking it all, the poor Azuri was too used to being isolated and alone to be comfortable in a formal party environment. It had taken a ton of convincing to get her here anyway but she did keep her word. Turning up outside the huge glass doors of the hotel complex in nothing more than her ripped rags and carrying a torn plastic bag containing a single mouldy sandwich she'd made for herself from what little there was in her scrapyard home, she looked on at the aesthetically exquisite building with a shy and very nervous smile, hoping someone would guide her to where she was supposed to be. Her ragged hair was wild and dirty and she looked extremely tired too, although her skin wasn't quite as mucky as it usually was as it had been raining at the scrapyard and she had managed to take a shower from it.
Mehzal looked on from within the complex and caught sight of the floppy eared girl as she was walking over to a plant pot to hide behind from all the cars. A sympathetic frown washed over her face as she saw what Kyrah was dressed in and she made her way quickly to go greet the terrified girl, who was shaking from behind the foliage. A shy smile from the girl arose as she was Mehzal making her way down the huge granite steps that led up to the front doors.
"Hey Kyrah, just admiring the plants eh?"
"M-m-Mehzal!" She tried to stand a give a hug but lost her balance over the plant she was hiding in, although Mehzal caught her from falling.
"Lets eh.... get you inside... i've got a hot shower and a dress waiting for you."
Kyrah nodded and stayed close to Mehzal as they walked back up the steps and through the building to Mez's room. Closing the door quietly behind herself, Kyrah stared in shock as she turned around to see the huge dress laid out on the double bed. She dropped the sandwich bag on the floor causing Mehzal to notice it and take a peak.
"What the flying fuck is that Kyrah?! Jesus, that smells disgusting!" She said, opening the top and taking a whiff.
"Thats... my dinner..." Kyrah replied, feeling somewhat ashamed, she tried her best to find food at the scrapyard but it was difficult and she'd done the best with what she could find.
"D'aww, Kyrah, theres food here! You didn't need to bring your own... although i wouldn't call this food."
Kyrah didn't feel all that happy talking about her lack of food and changed the subject to something that didn't make her want to sob on the spot.
"I-i-i-is that mine?" she asked, inching closer to the bed, almost scared to touch the silken fabric, jittering a little in excitement of trying on clothing that was meant for her and not found.
"Yep, but don't touch it yet, you need to get washed and dried, i'm going to wash that hair of yours." Said Mehzal as she guided the still quivering girl into her bathroom and pointing at the ready made bath.
Kyrah entered the bath straight away, forgetting to take her rags off and looking up at Mehzal happily, unaware of her mistake. Mez shook her head and giggle a little before getting to work washing Kyrahs mass of tangled and filthy hair, cleaning every inch of it to a soft hazy blonde colour.
It took a while, but afterwards, Kyrah almost looked normal again and rather happy too, although her thinness from the starvation was showing somewhat. Mehzal hauled her out of the bathwater, which had turned rather grey and dull, and began drying her off, contemplating how best to fit her into the dress.
They began straight away after she was finally dry, remaining silent, talking only through soft smiles and hair strokes. Kyrah looked utterly stunning in her dress and felt it too, it wasn't often she was given anything, but a whole dress to wear?
"Kyrah... you look amazing! You're going to be one of the prettiest Azuri's there! Everyones gonna love you!"
Those words echo'd around Kyrahs head, not having the desired effect Mehzal intended. Kyrah had actually forgotten other people were going to be there and all of a sudden, the dress seemed more like a cage, a prison. Something to keep her in view of everyone. She didn't like crowds and certainly didn't want to be the centre of attention. Mehzal just finished putting her bow in and thats when Kyrah broke down.
She tried to speak, but words wouldn't form, she stuttered and spluttered but nothing understandable came out, she panicked even more as she failed to communicate and tears started to form. All of sudden this was too much, she wanted out. She wanted to go back to the scrapyard with her rags and mouldy sandwich...
Mehzal turned around to see Kyrah sobbing and making her escape attempt.
