The Vampires have found out that three girls have a connection to the realms of shadows and with there deaths before they age beyond thier 20th year shall harald the time of darkness. An opening of a gate to allow all the supernatural forces of darkness to attack and claim this world as their own.
The Ba'al wait for their unknowing pawns the vampires to unleash the day of darkness so they might claim the earth once more.

This is pre-nightspawn/nightbane setting where the balance of power has not yet tipped to the Ba'al yet, still other supernatural threats are contending as both forces under there own agenda and those foolish enough to trust and work for the Nightlords.
