this is really great, gurl :3 I really like the face. the lips, eyes, and nose are very nicely done. i think if you're going for more of a realistic style though, the hair is where I'd focus some improvement. It looks like you used the marker tool as a base brush for the hair, and that's perfectly fine! But I think using a finer tip (maybe the pen tool?) would help with making it look more detailed and realistic. There are a couple of tutorials on deviantART if you look up "realistic hair SAI" in the search bar (most of them are anime artists offering tutorials for semi-realism; here is one of them that seems to remind me of what you are doing: http://browse.deviantart.com/?q=rea.....r+sai#/d471969 )
It would be a good place to start if you're looking to get into more creating more realistic-looking pieces. Right now the hair still looks a bit anime-style-ish, especially with the bright highlights and glossy-ness. I think the shading on the skin could use a bit more detail as well, and some highlighting. There are tutorials for this as well if you search "paint skin sai". I found a semi-realism one: http://browse.deviantart.com/?q=pai.....n+sai#/d4voqo9
Adding more detail and precision would help the piece a lot, I think. It would help define her tanktop as something apart/on top of her skin, define her hair a little bit more, and define her skin a little bit more so it doesn't look as "mushy".
I do really like the color palette you chose for it though! I like how the red kind of darkens into a purple-ish shade. Same goes for the skin and lips, I like the colors you used there, too. I'd love to see more pieces just like this one, and hopefully it's okay that I'm critiquing/giving a bit of advice haha. >n< I mean everything in the least offensive way possible. I do think you've done a great job with this one and I really want to see what else you can pump out in terms of "realistic" art. You are very good at improving when you practice and utilize techniques, so I think you can really master this style if you practice. c: Looking forward to seeing more from you! <3
