Well, Kanga's got that old-school Disney look that I like, Tigra's design really varies depending on the artist (personally I favor John Byrne's take on that character) but Mrs. Brisby was designed by Don Bluth, so I'm going to have to go with her as my favorite.

Aw, they look terriffic! There's real volume to all of them, and your rendering makes them blend together well, despite their obvious stylistic differences.

Lots of enticing little details here, like Brisby's tale wrappdn around Tigra's, and the latter's pinky almost diappearing into Kanga's squishy backside. :v

I hear ya! I only buy old back issues anymore. To me comics peaked right around the time you mentioned, in the late 80's. The 90's had some good stuff but it was overshadowed by all the Image crap going on during that time. Then DC and Marvel (as well as everyone else!) started copying Image's style. Which was weird since the Image founders had left DC and Marvel to form Image Comics. So then all the books started looking the same way: bad. And let's not even talk about how the words EXTREME, BLOOD and CYBER were plastered all over everything.
Sorry for the long-winded rant, man ;)
