(If you like this picture you can COMMISSION ME!)
$45 Airbush/Realism commission for Bostitch http://www.furaffinity.net/user/bostitch/ of his fursona of the same name and my umm, girl of no name. Concept was more or less up to me here, which I leaned towards a more 'spontaneous' introduction, as it were. If you want to see the adult version, you can go here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9244652/
This was a rather funny coincidence here. A while ago it was suggested to me to combine two creatures I like, a dragon and a zebra and make a 'furry' out of it. Did so, and just sort of let her design sit around for a while. A few weeks ago I stumbled upon Bostitch and realized that they looked rather familiar. Turns out, we made them in a week of each other (although who thought of it first, no idea) except Bostitch is a gargoyle and I've basically camped mine in zebra/dragon chimera camp. Add mohwaks and stripes between the pair and well here is how two people accidentally make matching mates. Seriously, this is how evolution works.
Scales are a pain, doesn't matter which ones one does, plates, or ribbed or pebbly dinosaur-like ones which was my choice of assault here, all difficult. Bostitch was a comparative cake walk. Bold colors don't really look natural, so never really fought that and won properly. Pose was mostly straightforward and otherwise was really overly eager to work on this. I got to paint, and with some concepts I would really like. Totally happy. She really needs a name though...
Photoshop CS4
