This was shot on a frigid December 31st morning, 2005, at Blackie's Spit, north of Blaine, WA. It was f---ing cold outside and the fog chilled my bones but I got some awesome photos that day. Featured here are some Cormorants and Great Blue Herons, perched on a couple dozen pilings about 50 meters out in the mud flats.
