This is the first chapter of my second story, more or less based on the Justifiers Universe. Some of the characters here are the characters, a few friends of mine made when we actually played the game.

It is the continuation of "Lone Wolf", which can be found in my submissions, of course.

Kinas and Ikeru were assigned to a new team and the problems already start before they are even briefed on the mission...

About the Justifiers universe:

First off, I did not create the Justifiers universe. It was a PnP roleplaying game, back in the 80s. About 2 years ago, the german author Markus Heitz decided to 'reanimate' it. I rather like the universe, which is why I use it as base for a couple of stories.



The story takes place in the Justifiers universe. A universe that is based on our planet in the year 3042. Humanity learned how to create so called beta humanoids (short betas), you might call them anthros. Those are used for all kinds of tasks, humans usually dont want to do. From transportation (usually done by bulls and the likes) up to warfare. The betas belong to the concern, who created them till they can pay them their buyback, basically the sum the concern had to invest to create them.

The Justifiers are squads consisting of betas and prisoners. They are mostly sent on exploration missions to new planets and many dont come back from those missions.
