A sketch of one of my favorite wayfarer species, the Ibidian Gnoll.

Ibidian are literally born and raised to be nothing but slaves. From birth, they are conditioned to obey orders to the letter, and respect their masters no matter the abuse they give. They are typically very thin, and are much narrower over all than their larger cousins. They relish hard work as long as someone other than them is benefiting from it, and when not under the service of a master, they almost obsessively search for a new one.
This particular ibidian probably has a less-than-kind master, to have giten him all of those scars. He only has one outfit, that is hardly ever cleaned, and handles most of the tasks around the manor he works and lives in - but, true to his nature, he loves his master, for better or for worse, and does his job as best he can.
