This is a really simple little doodle I did in order to practice with my tablet in preparation of restarting my webcomic. This is a (fairly popular) character named Bruce, who you may be familiar with maybe!
This was drawn, colored, and horribly shaded all in Paint Shop Pro 7, so that's why there's no fancy crap like pressure sensitivity. Plus, I'm in the process of redesigning all my characters slightly, and when I did this I had none of those slight changes in mind...meaning that what you see here might not be what you see in the webcomic eventually (thought very close).
In any case, I guess I'm alright with the tablet. Putting a piece of paper over it while I make initial drawings helped give me the resistance I need (I'm one of those people who pushes really hard when they write/draw). Now all I need to do is figure out this...pressure sensitivity business. I dunno if I'll shade the comic, I'm pretty...terrible at it! :' Oh well.

Never had PSP6, and PSP7 isn't new, either, but...I dunno, it wasn't too bad. I was planning on drawing my comic in Photoshop, actually, since I know how it works already. OC I have almost no experience with...plus I'm self-conscious about my mediocre drawing skills and I don't want anyone to watch me do it. :'
Well, in retrospect, OC doesn't have the kind of editing tools that a comic would require ... and the jaggy lines won't be a problem as long as you resize the comic when you're through. Oh, and yeah, group drawing is a major part of OC, but it works just as well offline! Just go to File > New... instead of using the network window.
