Sanzu is an anopheles mosquito (Anopheles walkeri) who works as a glassblower in the same village as Fuyuki. He often goes downriver into the city to sell his wares in the summer markets, and retreats to the heat of his shop in the winter to build up more stock. He looks older than he really is, having lead a rough life before settling down.
