beautiful and mysterious. a pity they don't use interior illustrations for fantasy or sci-fi novels anymore. this pic would so fit into one.

haha, thank you, i have a bit of work to do yet, but im glad you like it :)

the sky was done in india ink, it took a few layers to get it as dark and even as it is, and the stars are done with acrylic paint

I love the subtlety of the cloud render, and the whole piece itself is stunning, esp with the contrast of the night sky and the land ittself. This disserves more faves.
