The price is $1.29, HOWEVER as I am trying out KDP Select this time around, if you have Amazon Prime you can borrow the book for free, OR there's probably another way to borrow the book so if you know tell me.
Since I'm trying out KDP Select, it won't have a Smashwords version available until February. Price of exclusivity!
ALSO ALSO this is the shortest story I've written so far, but it includes three illustrations and I think some of the best character writing I've done yet.

Yeah... when I was hospitalized back in April it was 4 weeks after being diagnosed and (thankfully) what they did was out-patent. If they had done the normal procedure ... I would have had a similar situation to yours, and probably 2 weeks in the hospital.
Yeah... Glad they got it taken care of fast for you.

This is one of those instances where my prop-making instincts gets out of hand, because I have the most amazing desire to run it through a low-grade half-tone process, print it out on card-stock, age it a bit and then graft it onto an old paper-back to leave laying around the apartment.
For some reason I have way too much fun with pieces that are almost subliminally furry, that are so "normal" that your average non-member of the fandom is forced to do a double-take, because the realization that it's not everyday art is actually secondary.

Love the cover art, and will probably like the story when I get around to reading it.
However, (and I truly don't want to sound like a prick in saying this), I would like to point out that the KDP Select option is Amazon's way of trying to dominate the market (read: monopolize) by starving its competitors of the all-important first few months of sales when a title is new on the market. Yes, it's better for the author, I admit, and I am not going to condemn anyone for choosing it, but I don't believe that it's good for the industry in the long term, and I rejected that option when I made my own e-books available.
