This was a bit of an experiment to see how or even if I could implement other programs into my art processes. In this case I'd used Google Sketch Up to create the buildings, taken a screen shot of the forms from the angle I'd wanted, and then painted over the image.
I still feel like I have a fair bit to learn when it comes to painting and depicting architecture, but overall I'm still rather pleased with the outcome.
The concept for the houses is actually based off an idea I've had for quite some time for a conceptual suburban housing plan, where the lawn of each yard was part of the structure of one of the adjacent houses. As this was an idea I've had for a long time, I'd spent a fair bit of time working on the design and construction of them as well. When deciding on which angle to use for the final image, I had been hesitant to use this one as it didn't show off the core concept behind the way the buildings were constructed, but I ultimately chose it as i felt it portrayed the greatest level of depth and detail throughout my rendering.
So as not to let all that work and detailing on the initial rendering go to waste, I intend to upload some images on my tumblr showing various angles of the rendering to give a better idea of what I'd done for this project. http://crisisdog.tumblr.com/post/35.....f-the-model-id

I'm studying in Chile!
I'm in the "Universidad Catolica de Chile", which is pretty nice, but from what I've seen through internet, the level acquired through school in my country, is quite under par compared to the US or Europe.
Still, I shouldn't be complaining if I flunked some subjects already :J

Well, as long as you're accredited in your country, that's that deal. I feel that South America is really having a good swing with a resurgence of rationalism, and good rationalism that's beyond Corbu - especially Columbia and Ecuador.
BTW, you live in an awesome country; I want to see southern Chile someday.
