General Galaxy YF-21 "Omega One" scrap (fighter mode)
just a little scrap/remake of one old draw of my favorite mecha, the YF-21 "Omega One" from macross plus =3
the plane is controlled by MIND CONTROL for the pilot (Sci Fi? partially WRONG. one USAF F-16 is testing that in the present....)
as all macross/robotech mecha, can change to guardian and battloid configurations =3
speeds in fighter mode:
cruise speed: mach 1.6
combat speed in atmoshpehere: mach 3.5 (3572 kms/h)
maximun speed in atmosphere: mach 5.1 (5205 kms/h) at 10000 to 30000 mts
maximun speed in space: mach 24 (24494 kms/h) for a max of 5 segs
Weapons:
1 láser cannon in thehead
2 láser guns in the arms
48 micro missiles (+ 24 more in the fast packs)
2 Gun pods in the legs
and missiles under the wings in fighter mode =3

if you go by the Palladium books, the GU-11 gunpod is 55mm. I think one of my favorite scenes from the Macross Plus movie was where Guld had died after taking out the Ghost fighter with his partially-melted fighter drifting in orbit. Somehow the scene managed to be both tragic and peaceful all at once. I could almost see the fighter being left as-is as a memorial.
