Ahhh what a song. It brings me back to the Civil War every time I hear it. It is one of my favorite songs on the violin. I know my style has been rather off as I try different poses that I am unfamiliar with. I spent more time practicing the colors and layer modes like multiply and luminosity than I did proper anatomy. Now if I can combine the pieces where I did good in that, with the color I am set! Please leave comments as they do help me and are greatly appreciated! Hope you like it.
Art is all mine, however the pose is almost exact to this photo so I am giving credit to this amazing artist: http://www.deviantart.com/#/d32qyfi
I use a lot of other artists work for practice with certain poses which is where my style falls apart and looks weird.....
Here is the song if you don't know it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpBuky70rMg&feature=related

What you really should do, rather than referencing poses from other drawings/photos, is get into drawing the way children's how-to-draw books teach you -- start with basic shapes for each body part (the head, chest, pelvis, biceps, forearms, thighs, calves, hands, and feet, and lines for the spinal cord, tail, and maybe fingers.) It makes each drawing take a lot longer, but if you get into the habit of drawing with "skeletons", you'll be able to draw with really good anatomy in literally ANY pose, with or without reference. :3
