Wow, I guess the photographer is having problems getting my dad to smile ^^;
My first fan art for
digisushi of Yamikari, his serious form.
Lines this time, and I'm cel shading my pics more precisely. Despite the rather empty background, this took me more than five hours not just because I've never drawn Yamikari but because I wanted my pics to appear more detailed since somebody from dA criticized me for not paying enough attention to detail. I hope it looks ok but would like more suggestions if possible on the poses and such ^^
Of course that's me on the left, making that goofy expression ^^

I do remember you said you were using a chibi style and that style looks better with less details and I respect that!

i really like your expression... the way u draw your mouth this time is different, it has the peak in the middle instead of just being a half-circle, i like it this way alot better ^_^
and u did make very good detail, and the lines and shadows also look very good, i think it is a great improvement (tho i liked your arts already, it just makes it better now >wO )

the animal smile has a curve up to the nose, not just a regular solid curve from one side to the other...

The problem is that the official Pichu has a non curved mouth unlike pikachu, that's why he was drawing the mouth that way.
But now that he differences from other Pichus he is in all right to change his mouth as the curved you mention. And of course that looks much better!
