"They sat together in the park
As the evening sky grew dark,
She looked at him and he felt a spark tingle to his bones.
'Twas then he felt alone and wished that he'd gone straight
And watched out for a simple twist of fate.
They walked along by the old canal
A little confused, I remember well
And stopped into a strange hotel with a neon burnin' bright.
He felt the heat of the night hit him like a freight train
Moving with a simple twist of fate.
A saxophone someplace far off played
As she was walkin' by the arcade.
As the light bust through a beat-up shade where he was wakin' up,
She dropped a coin into the cup of a blind man at the gate
And forgot about a simple twist of fate.
He woke up, the room was bare
He didn't see her anywhere.
He told himself he didn't care, pushed the window open wide,
Felt an emptiness inside to which he just could not relate
Brought on by a simple twist of fate.
He hears the ticking of the clocks
And walks along with a parrot that talks,
Hunts her down by the waterfront docks where the sailors all come in.
Maybe she'll pick him out again, how long must he wait
One more time for a simple twist of fate.
People tell me it's a sin
To know and feel too much within.
I still believe she was my twin, but I lost the ring.
She was born in spring, but I was born too late
Blame it on a simple twist of fate."

Now I know I should be working on my gifts and trades and such but I couldnt help but finish this one. It is just a picture that came into my head after writing part of Arics background. This is about the time Aric was given the journal of his father. His first big break in finding out who he was. Now at this time in the story Aric is already seeming to be on the edge but reading that journal really causes him to take a turn for the worse. It was only a few pages but it was the logs his father had kept of his relationship between himself and Arics mother. Their love life and relationship was anything but pleasant, a rather sad(and long hence why im not tellin much XD) story and Aric takes the depressing writings rather badly. The book filling in a few blanks that in the long run Aric wished he had just left be and never found out about. Shortly afterwards Aric after so many long years of going to that same grave yard gave up and never returned. Kinda finding out the hard way some things are just better off left forgotten. Now this is pretty much why I picked the song "Simple Twist of Fate" by Bob Dylan as is seems like a rather sad love story but a beautiful choice for the chapter in the story and for this picture *L*
Took alittle while to draw this as well I drew it a long while back just never really bothered to go any further with it at the time. I found it while looking for a white led and figured why not. Now I must point out I find greenery and leaves and such a real pain in the ass so I am sorry if that doesnt look anything like a grape vine but eh it was my best attempt at a plant in a very longtime . Getting all the black also took a bloody well long time to get right. I didnt really want to have alot of detail in this one. Was done in markers, colored leds and a few different black pens.
