Earlier this year Savant, Digit for those who don't know he's gone back to being a rat, hosted the Big Gulp party at Anthrocon. He put the call out for banners and fliers to advertise the party, and this is what I sent him. The theme was 8-bit heroes, so I thought of something suitable for that era of gaming. I've added the wording for FA, but the rest of it is the same thing I sent him.
For those of you who played in that era Rhindle here should be fairly recognizable.
For those who didn't Adventure was, I think, the first roll playing/puzzle quest type game made for the Atari 2600. You had to look for a golden chalice while evading three dragons. If the dragons caught you, they ate you. You could then see your little cursor wiggle around in his tummy.
For a little added randomness to the game there was this black bat that could carry objects, including the dragons, quickly through the environment. He could take the one object you were carrying and replace it with whatever he had with him. In some cases that turned out to be a dragon. A fact which the hapless raccoon player here has just experienced.
Rhindle the red dragon is owned by Atari. If they are still around.
