This bayou is the 'sister' of Bartholomew.
DeSiard branches off from Bartholomew and she makes her way down and around snaking her way through Monroe then she makes her way to the Ouachtia River as well.
This was taken on US HWY 165 (North Bound) in Ouachita Parish.
In the evenings, this time of year, when the sun is setting and the light hits those leaves just right, they light up with bright hues of red and yellow. Which is VERY RARE to see since in this part of Louisiana, the leave dont change color slowly. This year is the first I have ever seen in my 25 years of life.
In that other bank on the other side *hidden by the Bald Cypress* there is a house and dock over there too
