The original layout for this page was somewhat different. The larger building in the bottom left corner was originally a frame house. However, as Bea was walking downtown, I felt the scene should become increasingly urban rather than more residential. I redrew that corner.

Well, it gives away the ending, but he was the villain of the issue. I'd tell you what he was looking for and just what happened at the end of the story, but you know... I forget. I didn't write anything but my own part after all. He was named "Grampa Goat" or something and used to do pratfalls on the funny pages in 1926, or something like that. And I don't think he was intending any great villainy, just get back to 1926 maybe, so the Varmints let him go.
