Kasekhemui was an egiptian sovereign of the second dynasty. The aegyptologists hypothised that during his reign some kind of crisis occurred which he managed to avert or solve. To celebrate this accomplishment he changed his name from "Kasekhem" (the powerful is crowned) in "Kasekhemui" (the two powerful are crowned), thus symbolizing how he managed to reunite that which was divided. In order to stress the concept even more over his serekh (a kind of box in which the name of the sovereign is written, the same function that the cartouche will have later on) he had engraved along with the Horus-falcon the Seth creature.
