Presenting my fursona.
No, really. I think I've confused a lot of people over the years, thinking that Rexar is my fursona. Well he isn't, and he never was. It's Mike that generally represents me, my personality (albeit with some exaggeration) and my preferred position in many of the fantasies in which he appears.
I've always been a bit unsure about drawing characters in side-on/profile view like this, partly because I've never really understood how to position the arms on the torso. After looking at quite a lot of reference images however, I think I got it right on this occasion. What I'm not sure about however is the size of his left hand/arm in comparison, but I was happy enough with the shape of the hand to run with it anyway. The angle did cause something of a problem for me though in that I've never been sure about tails and clothes - I always end up tacking the tail on too high so as to avoid the issue.
I think this is a slightly more realistic look for Mike too - compared to some of his earlier images, I decided to make his ears a bit longer and tried to shape his head in a way a little more consistent with that of a spaniel. Plus, of course, I wanted to convey his shy expression.
Obviously Mike was clothed in his old 2008 profile image. But there's something so much more powerful about putting him there with not much on. I think it makes him look much more vulnerable and uncomfortable.

You know, actually I thought you didn't have a fursona at all and that these characters were all parts of your personality or something haha. I mean some people do not have a 'sona. I guess it does make sense though :3 And I'm glad to see this cleared up o: (even though I'm kinda six months late to say it :T)
Nah, the other characters aren't meant to represent me in any way - they are just tools to cater for a variety of individual fetishes.
I used to argue that I didn't have a fursona, largely because I took it to be related to fursuiting or RPing as that character, which I don't. But my perceptions have changed over the years and I consider Mike to represent me in most scenarios.
