lessons in how to play an instrument or how to use a digital program are always good but as far as the rest, never let not having had lessons keep you from exploring and making music (I can count my music lessons on one hand XD). Things usually start small. Listening in depth to well constructed music is one of the best teachers. ^^ lol sorry to be a chatter box XD.
