Esrom refence sheet
Reference sheet for a new species I made around last night. They are a closed species.
Information not included on ref:
The notches in the beak have two different functions: The four facing the front are nostrils and pick up various smells, the back set process heat for heat vision when chasing prey in low light.
Wing structure consists of leathery skin and large feathers. All bones are hollow to allow for flight. (Non elemented Esrom do have wings the image was more for the body structure.)
Body is covered in soft short fur that almost feels velvety. The skin underneath is fairly tough.
Some can actually be MUCH larger and have a stronger hold on their element, these are just known as giant Esrom and are classified by not only having an element showing by their tail, but also replacing the feathered ends of the wings.
They can be almost any color. If an Esrom has an element it generally will have colors close to that(water leaning to blues, fire to reds and oranges, etc). Facial markings however are known to be just about any color, and are used when trying to find mates.

I will make some adoptable for these probably, and you can custom commission one if you like, I need money at the moment so they probably never will be an open species.

The shadow one reminds me of a design I got haha ooh.
I like how you're workin' with the wings though, but maybe the drawing you have of the side view could use some work? I mean yeh there's critters that do carry their front limbs like that, probably the best example being vampire bats, but your drawing still looks awkward somehow. I think it may be how the spine is curved in a way that seems a little too curved to support the shouldervlads and keel that would be necessary to support the muscles for flight. For that I might suggest referencing bird skeletons and anatomy.

Just looked through your gallery for that now that you brought it up and it does jkbsakjfb did not mean for that I'm sorry! I'll change it if it bothers you. ;A;
Yeah my spinework on wyvern things has always been really off, slowly getting better. Always did that curving thing for some reason. Thanks for the constructive criticism though, it really means a lot!

Hhhha naw you don't gotta change it. Was jus' something I observed. I don't really mind.
Yeah doing that kinda anatomy can be tough. Curving spines don't really do so great for creatures that fly lots, so looking at bat and bird anatomy is a really good idea, 'specially the skeletons themselves.
