#6 of Artwork - "The Sacrifice for Peace" Trilogy
This is Warri, he is a young male of the Ayoona-Lu-Nehm'a or the People of the Forest. Warri is only 30 years old, which makes him the equivalent of a 16 yr old human. He is 6 ft 10 in tall, weighs 250 lbs, amber eyes, fur color is mostly grays and black. Warri is quiet, gentle, extremely patient, and is skilled at map making and clerical work. He was apprenticed to the Lore Masters and worked with the archives. He accompanies Mist Runner and friends on the quest to save the human girl, Dahmietra, from her own people. Warri and Dahmietra eventually fall in love with each other, even though they seem like an unlikely pair at first. Warri's magical ability begins to manifest with his "mind-speak" (telepathy) and also a limited form of "seeing" (kind of like Phoebe on "Charmed"). His mental skills are later developed, and he becomes quite strong, particularly when it comes to protecting himself and others. The two-pronged spear he hold in the picture is typical of the lake clans, and he is quite skilled at spear fishing. The picture was drawn using a mechanical pencil, blending tool, and an erasure (to get the highlights), on "everyday copy & print" paper.
Warri (and the other characters, etc) are © Ronald J. Lebeck.
