Finally, a Sonic design for K. K's only special attack is Nightmare Slash, which is very much like Vergil's Judgement Cut from Devil May Cry 3. His special abilites, Space Warp, allows him to switch places with anything of his choosing, as long as he can see it and Manifest, which allows him to take on nightmarish forms, hence his species. The forms usually vary on those he fights or can be based on the sins of them. The Manifest is only used for scare tatics if the form is based on the opponent's fear. Despite his role as a Nightmare, he sides with Kia because he can 'make the most out of his role on those who have sinned without remorse'. Thus, K is able to increase his power by absorbing his enemy's fear before finishing them off.

I had decided that I would actually make a Sonic version of K after having a dream of playing Sonic Next Gen and watching boss videos of Mephiles. K is in no way related to him whatsoever. The catch was to make a nightmarish creature without ripping off anyone and that nightmares can be anything, and thus, not have a definite form. The fact that K can virtually look like anyone or anything based on one's fear is something I believe that hasn't been done ever before on a Sonic character
