He doesn't really have much of a backstory, he was mainly just designed to go along with the idea they wanted illustated and turned into a tutorial. Mostly the little guy is just you average little baby dragon playing around making his own little imaginary hoard of precious gems by dipping the dull rocks around the area in water to make them shiny and pretty like a real pile of gems.
