I based the pattern off a real Black Footed Ferret. (I had one once, her name was Lexie.)
The ferret was completely hand sewn by me, and the pattern was drawn by me.
The markings on the ferret are done in Copic markers. I used several browns and black, along with a blender marker.
The face has been thread sculpted to get the realistic ferret face.
The nose is black vinyl, a leather like material.
The head is stuffed with a dense fiber fill (it's really hard), the rest of the body has been stuffed with a light poly fill, and the belly and feet have plastic pellets for weight and a more real feel.
The ferret is approximately 11" from nose to butt, and approximately 5" tall.
I hope you all like it! :)

Looks very nice, caught my eye from the front page. The markings are quite naturalistic and it looks very petable. :) I would worry about the longevity of copic markers, though - all of those art markers [yes, even Copics with their hefty price tag] typically have a rather short "display life" and start to discolor or fade rather quickly when compared to many other mediums [I believe it can occur in as little as two years, the acidity of what they're applied to and level of light received are the main factors, iirc].
