I tried a few new things with this one and almost achieved what I wanted. More practice I guess...
For those who do not know, this is my character. Wings was a recent addition. I will probably draw myself as feral at some point whenever I get time again. D:

Yes and no. It's easier to study organic or stylized characters than it is environments.
I mainly just need more practice with perspective and depth when it comes to backgrounds. Foliage raises the difficulty a bit, but I am slowly learning tricks. Another year or so, I should be doing some awesome backgrounds, too [I hope!] :P
