Honestly, watchers/pageviews/comments and such is the only reason I haven't left FA. Terrible moderation, terribly lazy coders, broken aspects of the site that have been broken for far too long, etc. etc...

Haha, wow, had to make an image submission to tell people you're not leaving.... I wish people would stop freaking out! As awesome as Weasyl is (LOVE the features and the tagging system and OMG~<3), people won't leave FA. FA is pretty terrible, but it's been a community hub for so long, the only way it'll make people get off the site for good is if FA closed down~ That ain't happening any time soon. People need to learn to either be patient for friend invites or for the site to come outta beta. Or at least realize it's just a smart move to have branched accounts to post on (FA goes down for a whole summer, how are people who make a living off of comish supposed to make bank if they ONLY stay on FA?). Heck, it's only $5 to get an account now and that's cheaper than a lot of the games folks buy on Steam =V It's WELL worth paying/waiting!

Well duh. You should close your FA and move exclusively to this Weasyl thing because it's obviously invite only which makes it more exclusive and way better and it's totally the cool thing to do and will win you more pageviews... because it's invite only... because it's in beta... and they spelled it funny.
I guess competition is good for business, but you pretty much hit the nail on the head.
I really would be pissed if I had to try and get an invite to an art site just so I could continue watching all my favorite artists just because they're all fucking stupid and went with the hype... which I'm going to eventually have to do anyhow. Dx
