Okay... now I genuinely want to get my paws on a copy of TAS!
It'd be nice if Lieutenant M'Ress (or at least Caitians), like so many other TAS concepts, somehow wound up in the live action series...

Actually, I looked up Caitians on Memory Alpha and there were two Caitian Starfleet admirals in Star Trek IV. One of them was on the Federation Council and the other was just sitting around at Kirk's hearing.
They didn't look anywhere near as cute in live action though. ;.;

So long as we the fans of her keep her in mind she'll never fade away, and in a nod to her Dreadstar and Co. had a reference to her and her 'being animated and therefore not counting' when a parody of the original ST cast encountered Dreadstar's group which included a very sexy anthro feline named Cookie.
