say, did the author change the wolf's name to "Aargh" in the later books, too, or is that a quirk of the german translator?

I seem to remember reading it that way myself.. I have no idea why, though, as Aragh always sounded much better to me.

absolutely. I wondered what happened. a mistyping? but the whole two or three books used the name that way.
