still liking this! the muzzle/nose looks less canine, was that intended? otherwise I'd get a few profile refs fro corbis.com or fotosearch/gettyimages etc. and retouch that area a bit and maybe make the neck thicker :) The colors look pretty so far, I like what you have started for the BG.

Oh this was just me fooling around and trying out painting techniques. Not really sure what it is supposed to be, but thank you for the suggestions. :)
