"No lemon trees on Mercury, I reckon."

Robert sighed. He put away his brand spankin' new Android-powered camera, and settled into his couch. He sank deep into the cushions - this was one of those weird couches we often refer to "deep-dish" couches, here in Portland.

"But why? We were told there were lemon trees on mercury, and I even saw pictures!"

"Dude!" Johnny glared at Robert. He didn't often get irritated, but this was a touchy subject for the two. "I told you, that was an edited photo! That was in fucking Michigan! There's no way! If you want a lemon tree, can't we just go to Los Angeles?"

Los Angeles had become known, in the past few months, for its lemon trees. They weren't exactly overrunning the city, thanks to careful gardeners and farmers, but one could literally not step foot into the city without seeing one.

"...Y'know, I haven't been there either! It'd make a cool trip. We'd just have to grab a couple of our other friends. We can fit... three more in the truck, right?"

"Yep." Johnny seemed to perk up a bit as Robert agreed to this trip. "We'll all go to LA, then, and we'll all get ourselves a bitchin' helpin' of lemons! It'll be fantastic, I'm telling you!"

Their friends were very excited to hear they would all be taking a trip to California period, let alone Los Angeles! The two picked up three friends, and began to go on a cross-country journey they would never forget. Three thousand miles they'd be going. That'd put their brand new truck to the test...
