that's awesome. ironically ive been looking for something me and my hubby can get and in the link here http://symboldictionary.net/?p=3127 you posted in the third one on the right, the pikorua,we were thinking about this one ^-^ but all in all you should.
I have the top of my foot done. Thats all bone and tendons and it was NOT the funnest thing I've ever done in my life. HOWEVER- the art and the meaning behind it made it well worth the effort.
Keep in mind- it all depends on your pain threshold. But general rules are bone hurts/feels stranger than fatty layers of skin or muscle do.
Eat a huge meal before hand (if you are full and sleepy it helps promise!) DONT take pain meds- they thin your blood and make you bleed more. Ans ask your Artist if you can bring in Bactine to rinse with instead of the stuff they use. It works the same but has a light pain-killer in it. Helps a good amount.
Above all MEET YOUR ARTIST FIRST! and I DONT mean when you just walk in! Having a quick talk with your artist and getting to know them a bit makes new tats WAYYY easier. I LOVE my artist because she wouldn't take any shit form me. We had a quick chat a few days before my appointment and a longer one that day- once she learned that I needed a little push she didn't hold back and was all fire and sass with me-which I appreciated. It made pushing myself though the pain a lot easier and even made me laugh when I was on edge.
Do what feels right! If it FEELS like it belongs there then DO IT!

i have low pain tolerance and i have like 3 tats. they arent as bad as people say.
i mean. they hurt. cause its a tattoo. but they're pretty awesome.
and kind of addictive.
the part that gets tattoo'd stops hurting right after the needle isn't on it anymore.
they're fun :3
